What's happening in Miami!

The Perez Art Museum of Miami offers free entrance certain days like the second Saturday of the month with family activities from 1-4pm. Also the first Thursday of every month where you can rave at a proper Auditorium with Dj Hans! from 6-9pm. And for those that have Bank of America, bring your debit or credit card every first weekend of every month and you get in for free too! But for the ones that always wonder when observing a piece of art: "what was he/she/it thinking when made it?!" This Jan 9th ask that to Rachel Gay and remember to clap so she can clap back! And if you don't even like museum just stroll around...it's pretty scenic, if you don't believe me watch at the photos.

I have a hole that fills my darkness, is a small window but is there. Sometimes, mostly when i wake up the window is closed and i feel trapped like in a solitary cell, the air runs out in every breathing, shrinking the room even more making the walls getting closer and closer until the point i can not move. I stamp my hands over the rugged bricks trying to push them away, my nails are rakes scratching and my nostrils are steaming (did i mention i am claustrophobic?) and everything goes blurry in a blink of an eye and when i thought i could not think, when i thought that was my last breath and i thought i was not going to say another "and" ("and" maybe that was for the best) i see the window. It is miles away, it is still small, but i see it and that was enough at the moment (like enough is a word i commonly use) even though it felt like it was in another room the light heated my skin, a gust came in and went straight to my mouth. I swear (and i never swear, but never say never they say (who are they anyway) and i hear) it was like i had a thousand mints, my Edward-sissorhands became feathers, the bricks were velvety and my eyes only could see that hole that was a whole, a small window that fills my darkness.

Happy New Year 2016!!!

Resolutions made, balance weighted, objectives written down: Time to race the time! Aim for new thinking if you couldn't achieve what you wanted last year or keep those thoughts that made you get the proper track. For sure this year will have its ups and downs and that is ok, just bear in mind that is not the "what" but the "how" that makes the change!
This photograph was made at ISO 800 95mm Canon lens (70-200mm zoom lens) f2.8 and 1/6sec. I used a sturdy Manfrotto Tripod and a cable release to avoid shaking. To edit this photograph i used first Lightroom for color and light correction and then photoshop to get it sharper and enhance the beam of lights behind the buildings. To see how to take proper firework photographs see this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj8POiF3XfA
